The great interview that went to crap!

I always threaten I'm gonna lose it and today I will. I booked an interview about why you should check your credit score more than once per year. With identity theft and credit card offers everywhere, I knew my listeners would love this topic. Guess what. It was a complete flop! The guy (who shall remain nameless) answered 3 questions in a row with, "It all depends, each situation is different, and you should go to my website." He didn't tell me a thing. I finally threw him another question and said on the air don't tell me to go to your website.

It was bad. And I had to admit I was annoyed, even more so when I went to his website and found it to be a sales site.

If you are going on the radio, newspaper, or a TV show, you MUST give great content.

After the call I did tell him in a nice way that the interview could have been incredible and he just threw it away.
Then I called his publicist to tell them I would have deleted it if it was pre-recorded.

Everyone needs media coaching. With the short attention spans of everyone and fast moving pace of life, you need training more than ever before. Thanks for letting me vent!
