I just realized something HUGE!!!! When you send a media release to a media contact, make sure the website you have on your email or in the media release is a resource site and not a sales letter site.
I was just sent a media release the tweaked my interest. I decided to do some more research on the potential guest so I clicked on his hyper link at the bottom of his email and was taken to the typical sales letter webpage that is trying to sell me his product.
Yikes! I thought. This isn’t going to help me in deciding if he is right for my show or not. You need to have some sort of a resource page that has some info about you and what you do.
