The other day I talked about the importance of being confident while delivering your message to the media, make sure you don't get too confident and cross the line to becoming cocky. Nothing turns listeners off faster. Even Gene Simmons goes too far in his interviews and becomes very cocky and sometimes down right rude. (BUT he is a character…so I expect that from him)
Another common rookie mistake is putting down a big name to prove your point. If you are a nobody NPL speaker, please don't put down Tony Robbins….you'll come across as jealous.
