Every month there are National Days that media would love to discuss and share with their listeners or viewers. I have picked out a few that would work for mainstream TV and Radio shows around the world!
NOVEMBER is:
National Healthy Skin Month – If you are a healthy skin expert – get on radio and discuss some tips on skin health as we head into winter. What are the common problems you see in your area and how can we fix them. This could also be a geat TV segment.
Movember (US – Beard Month or Movember (Canada & Australia – Mustache Month ) In Canada, this is a HUGE event bringing awareness to men’s health. It’s all about Prostate Cancer awareness.
4 Weekly Celebrations that I would discuss
World Kindness Week: Nov 13-19 –
International Fraud Awareness Week: Nov 20-26 (Third Week) -*** This is a super hot topic that media LOVES to discuss. How to keep yourself safe.
National Family Week: Nov 20-26
National Game & Puzzle Week: Nov 20-26 – These last 2 topics are all about having fun with family and friends…and can we ever have enough of that??? Maybe a psychologist or family therapist could get publicity to discuss the importance of family game nights etc.
6 Daily Topics
Nov 3 – National Men Make Dinner Day: (No BBQ Allowed! 🙂 Hey chefs or restaurant owners…what a great way for you to get a ton of publicity. Contact your local radio station and do a contest to find the worst cook. Then go to their house and teach them to make a meal for their significant other. Then you would follow up with an interview the next to discuss how it went. And of course you’d have the couple on too! ***This would work great for a local TV station too.
Nov 11 – Red Lipstick Day: Perfect topic for an make-up artist. How do you pull off the perfect red lips? Once on our radio show we did the Most Kissable Lips contest. So again, this is a fun topic…but could get you some free PR.
Nov 17 National Unfriend Day: How many people do you wish you could unfriend on your Facebook? Today is the day to just do it! It’s so freeing to finally get rid of the people who aren’t your friends. What does someone have to do for you to unfriend them? For me it’s the F-bomb.
Nov 19 Women's Entrepreneurship Day: Self explanatory
Nov 25 International Hat Day: I see this and I think it would be a killer show topic for a hat store or an image consultant. What’s the hot look this year for hats? A great TV spot!
Nov 26 Small Business Saturday: (First Saturday After US Thanksgiving) Perfect pitch for small business coaches and chambers of commerce!
This is a small list of events happening for November. If you think you are the perfect person to discuss these topics with media but don't know what to do. Contact me in the contact Wayne Section above and introduce yourself.
