Let’s Get you booked as a Radio Guest this month!
If you want media coverage this month you either have to be incredibly relevant to a current event news story or you have to talk about something that relates to Christmas.
That’s it – only two options.
I think relationship experts could have the most fun on radio this month.
Think…
”How to survive Christmas – when you can’t stand your family…” or
“Why does it take me a month to get over a family visit?” or
“Do I really need to see the in-laws – can’t I get a root canal instead?”
If you can offer advice of any kind about dealing with family – I’m sure that would be a great interview – since every family pretty much needs some form of therapy!
You can make it fun – and still help a lot of people.
Loneliness is another important topic during the holidays. Many families are struggling – or maybe they have to spend the holidays by themselves. Can you discuss – how to deal with loneliness – when you don’t have family…or maybe you are on your own…or maybe you just had a break up?
ANOTHER Expert who can get a ton of media attention this month is a Nutritionist!
Everyday, TV shows will be talking about what to eat and what not to eat through the Christmas season.
Between Dec 26 – Dec 31 – it’s all about getting ready for 2020. Most people take this time off – so if you have never done interviews – this could be the perfect opportunity to get your foot in the door. Many talk stations are desperate to find guests at the end of the month.
I found a couple of current events you can "newsjack" this month…
Bathtub Party Day: Dec 5 This could be a spa or relaxation company promoting some great bath aromatherapy…or ways to reduce stress. This could also be a terrific sexologist or relationship expert.
National 12-hour Fresh Breath Day: Dec 12 A great interview for Dentists to get on the radio and promote how to keep your breath fresh while out at Christmas parties or after dinner. If you could create a list of the Top 5 WORST Xmas treats for your teeth – that would be a fun interview.
National Chocolate-covered Anything Day: Dec 16 This would be a great interview for chocolatiers or pastry chefs to take their talents to the TV station and share some treats. You could also make the interview a how-to segment on the best way to do a chocolate fondue with your family or friends.
National Re-gifting Day: Dec 18 This could be a great interview from an etiquette expert…how to re-gift and not get caught!
Global Orgasm Day: Dec 21 (Always on Winter Solstice and Summer Solstice) OH you laugh – but this is a great topic for Couples getting Closer over the holidays. I did a quick google search and found this killer hook…
If you're not on top of your game at work, it may have something to do with your bedroom antics – or lack thereof.
That's because having sex at night puts you in a good mood and boosts your performance at work the next day, according to scientific paper “From The Bedroom To The Office.”
The endorphins released after sex were found to have multiple benefits on daily life, not least that people felt more positive about their jobs and were more engaged at work.
The benefits were so significant that lead author Kevin Leavitt suggested we should be tracking our level of sexual activity – like many of us do with exercise and diets.
(put your name here) is a therapist who can share tasteful tips on how to re-ignite the passion with your sweetie making 2020 your HOTTEST year yet!
Good luck with your pitches, and please let me know if you pitch any of these ideas – I want to hear how they work for you!
