Musicians on the Radio

As a radio host, you never know what kind of interview you are going to have with a musician. Sometimes they down right suck and other times they rock. I've had great interviews with Davey Jones, Lionel Richie, Tom Cochrane, Mike Reno from Loveryboy, Blue Rodeo, Colin James, Michelle Wright and Randy Bachman just to name a few…and I have had awful interviews with The Moffatts, most bar bands, and bands playing fund raising events…oh and did I mention how bad the Moffatts were. BUT if you are a musician, you must get comfortable taking to the media…because they can definitely get your record spun and introduce you to an entirely new audience.

Jeremy Fisher

I was very impressed talking to an up and comer named Jeremy Fisher. He has this great song called High School and he was just nominated for a Juno award (which is the Canadian Grammy). I had no idea how this interview was going to go…but he really cracked me up. I had a ton of calls asking when he was coming to town, cause listners liked him. He used humour and it worked.
