Be the Solution

The teachers in my province went on strike. Kids are stuck at home with nothing to do and the parents are going crazy with child care issues and of course dealing with their children when they could be doing fun stuff like biking, watching daytime TV or having lunch with friends.

So last week I sent an email out to my database of publicists and PR junkies hoping to have many of them seize an opportunity and try booking themselves or their clients on radio stations in BC.

Some did and were booked on 6-10 shows. Others didn’t. And still others completely missed the boat!

If you want to be super successful in your PR campaigns…identify the problem and then offer the solution. It is that simple.

I am writing this because one Publicist (who will remain nameless) sent me her solution…not one but 2 different authors who were perfect for my show. 1. Stop the cycle of abuse and 2. Kids with ADD!

Both worthy topics but how do either one help my listeners who are climbing the walls with their kids home?

No wonder my On-Air Publicity training business of teaching people to do their own PR is so busy.

Remember, identify the problem and then be my solution!
