Tis the Season

The holiday season means a very busy time on radio. But maybe it's a different busy than you're thinking. This is the time of year when the sales departments take time away from the programming department. They sell more add space than they have. So instead of playing 12 minutes of commercials per hour, we are now playing 15 minutes per hour.

What it means to those of you looking to get airtime with your interviews is…unless it's a seasonal topic, you're better taking the next few weeks off and re-launching you campaign in January.

About the only interviews I'm looking for are light Holiday Topics to make us smile during this very stressful time or New Year Resolutions topics.

If you can tell me how to survive the In-Laws without liquor…you're invited on my show! haha!

If you sent out some media releases in the past few days and didn't get any response…don't sweat it…The DJ's are dipping in the Egg Nogg already!
