I had to say the toughest words I've ever had to say in my life today. And it brought to my knees.
My friend Lyndon was diagnosed with Cancer last year and he put up a hell of a fight. In fact he and I both had a great heart to heart at Christmas and it looked like he had it beat.
Today the voice on the phone said he had turned for the worse and was lying in a hospital in Victoria on a ventilator. He was still conscious…but they said he may only have 48 hours at the most.
See what I mean by shock…I thought he was doing OK…and now he can't even speak.
The voice on the phone asked me what I would like to say to him and they'd pass it on…
My final words…to my best friend in grade 6 and 7..until he moved. He's only 35 is married to Maggie and has 2 great kids, Lukas (7) and Jacob (3)…my final words….
Thanks for reminding me to live Lyndon….
I'll be off for the next while…I have a wife and a mountain bike that I haven't spent nearly enough time with this year.
Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes everyone…you mean the world to me.
