Media Interviews always Gets More Media Attention

When you get a media interview – other media will notice…and will often book you as well! (Isn't that weird.) You can go forever not getting any media attention and then after you get a break and end up on a big show, everyone wants you.

So it's very important to let the world know, by sharing in your newsletter, Facebook, twitter, linked-in…and even by standing up in the food court of your local mall…that you were featured in the media.
Last week, I was reading The Wealthy Bag Lady's newsletter. She told us about being on a TV show AND she had the interview up for us to watch. (Linda Hollander is the wealthy bag lady because she created custom shopping bags before any store had thought of such a thing.)

Years ago she wrote a book called the Wealthy Bag Lady from Bags to Riches. And guess what she had in her hands while she was doing her TV interview? YUP, a copy of her book.

I LOVE how she keeps promoting her book. I find it so frustrating that the major publishing firms say a book is old after six months. That is simply not true. You can promote that book of yours forever…anytime it's relevant to people and the media.

I emailed Linda the second I finished watching the interview. She's been on my show a few times before, but it's time to have her back again!

So the lesson for the week: Brag – Brag – and then Brag some more! Share your success with your audience…it increases your star power!
