I ran into a lady in the mall who I interviewed on my radio show about a year ago. She had lost 160 lbs and was offering help to others who want to lose weight. Her deal is food addiction. I put her on the air PLUS I replayed her interview a few days later in a different time slot because I knew people could really use her service.
OK let’s get back to meeting in the mall. She stops me to say how successful the program has been and how she credits my show for its success. I smile and say I’m happy to help.
She asks if I could run the interview again and I have to tell her I don’t keep interviews, especially after a year…but do offer to put her on the air again if she wants.
She starts saying how much a pain in the butt it is…and continues saying she’s disappointed I deleted her interview. I tell her to email me and I’ll set her up with an interview again….finally she agrees and I was about to continue on my adventure in the mall. But as I turn to go she says, “…now, if your radio station could only start playing some decent music…..â€
I doubt she meant it as an insult but I love the music on our station and I respect how hard the music director works to play the best music for our demo.
Can you imagine!?! Flattery gets you everywhere…insults get you no-where…
I now have an interview spot open….want it? If you talk to 25-49 year old women…send me a media release.
