I was out of the office and instead of the usual boring, I'm out of the office until blah blah blah, I wrote a story. You wouldn't believe the emails I had when I came back! Ton saying how much they loved the story!!!
You guys are truly sick and need to watch some TV! haha!
Here's what I wrote… (read the follow up at the bottom)
I've been hauled off on my daughters grade 5 school trip…all because I took a stand against going to a class tea a few months ago…and went golfing instead.
OH don't give me that look…yes I went golfing but it was after a long talk where I explained that I love her dearly and would always be there to coach soccer, go skiing or biking or just hang out reading a book….but I begged. "please don't make me go to the tea because…well to be honest…I really hate those school teas."
Are you still with me on this story? I bet you are wondering how I got roped into a 2 day class camping trip if I refused to go to the 45 minute tea.

My daughter, being very smart, (just like her father) took the opportunity at the tea to tell the other fathers that her dad was golfing.
You know all the other dads started whinning to their wives about if Jessica's dad didn't have to go to the tea, then why did they.
I caused a uproar and revolt at the tea!!!
Women gave their husbands "that look", you know the look…the DON'T EVEN START look, and the men sulked.
No-one would let me off the hook on this camping adventure.
So, I'll get to your email when I get back Friday night.

I came back alive! Barely! Here's the breakdown of my fun:
15 billion misquito bites, an allergic reaction to something in the air that caused terrible itchy eyes, horrid sneeze attacks, a very bad headache, and NO sleep…but other than that I feel great! Needless to say, I'll be going to the grade 5 tea for the rest of my life…just don't make me go camping with the school ever again!
