Every month there are hundreds of specialty events being celebrated.
I quickly found these 3 topics that I think are perfect for interviews.
1. MOVEMBER
Happens every November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and men's suicide.
The goal of Movember is to "change the face of men's health."
BUT here's the thing – I had no idea it was for men's suicide awareness….did you?
HOW TO PITCH THE MEDIA:
Do you have some advice on how men can be safer when it comes to these topics? Come up with a list of 3 things you would love to share with the audience. This does NOT include selling your book!
This is about offering your service and advice.
The headline for pitching media could be a survey you do on your FB or on the street. Ask people to message you privately – I think these reasons would be a great radio discussion!
Personal Wayne note – I just had a friend diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. He knew something was wrong but didn’t get it checked. This makes ZERO sense to me. One thing we have learned is: if you find a lump or something…go to a doctor!

2. National Gratitude Month
With all the $#*% that is happening in our world – gratitude may be the one thing we need now more than EVER!!! How come so many super successful people all do a gratitude journal?
I’ve been hearing about them for years – and yet – I have yet to start!
Let me start now – if you are reading this – I’m really grateful for you!!!

3. National Healthy Skin Month
I actually have an interview booked about this, tomorrow…so I know it’s a HOT topic! And guess what I learned today?
Men are making up nearly 49% of spa treatments!
HOW TO PITCH THE MEDIA
If you are a skin and health expert – please do this topic and help us take even better care of our skin. Especially as we are going into winter – what are the top 3 things you must do to have great skin this winter?
***BUT please don't pitch products if doing this interview.

Today I did an interview for National Vitamin D day. Now typically I would never do a discussion about Vitamins – but this was from a Family Doctor and University researcher.
He explained how most of us are low in vitamin D. (us meaning Canadians because of the lack of sun through winter) and how Vitamin D is great for bones, cardio health, Alzheimer's…and more.
He didn't try selling anything and he didn't even have a website. He was just being a great resource and helping Canadians.
Good luck getting out there and pitching Media,
