Today I had Ranee Spina, author of ‘I am before I do’, on my morning radio show.
She did everything right including using flattery before the interview.
She commented on how my bio made her laugh out loud. Now this isn’t a big deal to you reading this blog, but it’s a huge deal to a radio or TV host. It shows that Ranee did her homework. She knew who was interviewing her and she knew what the show was like by checking out the radio show.
So how did it benefit her? I kept her on the air much longer than originally planned because she was now my buddy, she was invited back live on the air, I put her info on my radio show blog, I'm telling other hosts about her and I am writing about her here.
You wouldn’t believe how few people do their homework before an interview.
