Be a resource to the media and you will get interviews

Yesterday 2 clients emailed me with success stories on getting f.r.ee publicity.
Here are their notes see if you find the lessons I will share at the end of this post:

Hi Wayne. I just wanted to tell you that I was just on Nat and Drew’s radio show in Vancouver BC. They brought up bachelorette party ideas and people kept calling in about Pole Lot of Fun…. I finally got through, after sending an email…and using Facebook because the lines were busy…and when I said who I was, Craig the station manager, said, wow, we got your emails and would love to talk to you….and all of a sudden they were asking me questions, and so on… Then Drew put it out there to see if anyone was interested in coming down to the studio to participate in a party with me,

I will let you know how it goes! Thanks so much for working with me…your course has taught me how to jump on opportunities that I would have missed in the past.

Yours in fun and success,

Letter Number 2 is from Sr. Patricia Proctor

Guess who contacted me today? A reporter from the Wall Street Journal who is doing an article on Confession! Really and truly. She talked to me about Confession and was really interested in my Confession Workbook. She wants me to get some names and numbers of people she can contact who have used the workbook and get their input for the article as well.

Is this not too awesome? Anyway, this is exciting for me! … maybe I could get interviews on general radio after that? What do you think?

Did you catch lesson #1. If you want to be noticed by the media sometimes you have to be different. Take a look at Sr. Patricia's YouTube Video.

Lesson #2 comes from Tracey…Her topic was being discussed on a radio show. She heard it and called, emailed and even used facebook. Persistence always pays off.

Thanks to Tracey and Sr Patricia for letting me share their success!
