IF you are looking for a great media topic – you should always attach yourself to something everyone understands.
There is no-one on the the planet that hasn't heard of Facebook – and people are very vocal about loving it or hating it.
I found this study today and we discussed it on my radio show. I think it's great info that could have listeners calling in and being extremely engaged. Are your for it or against it?
Here's the info:
STUDY: JUST AN HOUR A DAY ON SOCIAL MEDIA CAN MAKE KIDS LESS HAPPY: Social media has weaseled its way into the lives of most people over the past decade, and researchers are still figuring out how it impacts us.
A new study looks at how social media use impacts children. Researchers looked at data from kids ages ten to 15 over a period of four years who participated in the Study. The scientists write, "Overall we find that spending more time on social networks reduces the satisfaction that children feel with all aspects of their lives, except for their friendships."
Overall, spending on hour a day on social networks was found to reduce a kid's chances of being completely satisfied with life by 14 percent. Study authors suggest that limiting social media use during childhood may help to improve well being in the future.
