International Beer Day: August 2

I am always on the search for ways to get you and your business free publicity. Publicity is wayyyyy better than advertising. I've heard it said, advertising is what you pay for and publicity is what you pray for!

Well if you run a microbrewery – tomorrow could be the best day of your PR life!

I bet if you brought tasters in to your favorite morning radio show or TV show, you would get some tremendous PR for your company. (Obviously set this up ahead of time by emailing the producer, so you don't arrested trying to get on a show. LOL)

I think a great angle would be for you to really teach beer drinkers the difference between commercial regular beer and your specialty beer.

Do the interview like a wine expert teaches how to become a wine connoisseur. This should be an easy sell for most Rock radio stations. It would be a great visual as well if you take in some classy Red Solo Cups and take pictures with the morning team swirling their beer and learning what to look for in a good beer.

BUT remember…to really class it up. Make sure everyone is raising their pinkys while drinking!
