When a Celebrity gets a disease, it’s great news for people who also suffer. WHY? Because the media suddenly believes it is big news. Last week Jack Osbourne was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. The 26-year-old told People magazine that he received the devastating news just two weeks after he and his fiancée welcomed their daughter Pearl.
MS affects the central nervous system and can cause problems with muscle control and strength, vision, balance, feeling, and thinking. The disease affects people differently in each case, with some people having only minor problems, while others become seriously disabled.
Always watch for Celebrities having anything to do with your topic, and then piggyback on that for as much publicity as you can get. BUT always remember this is not about exploiting the Celebrity but about opening a door to help others who suffer with the same affliction.
