Men and Coupons

My radio rant this week was about Men and coupons. I say no man will cut a coupon out of a flyer or a paper and head off to a store unless it's a…no…it doesn't matter what it is…a man would never cut out a coupon. WE hate using coupons. Why? We feel Cheap. Less manly.
Women called in trying to defend their husbands but upon further investigation…the wives cut the coupon and hand it to the man to use. (And this is a rare occasion)

OK you think I'm nuts. Tell me this. Would you have gone on a second date if he pulled out a coupon to pay for your very first meal together? 2 can dine for $7.99

IF your business topic has anything to do with consumers and marketing I urge you to take up this idea and do a survey. Go to the mall and ask merchants. Then call a local station and say you would like to share your results regarding men and coupons. I bet you get on with this topic.

There is only 1 exception to this rule. Man stores. A man can use a coupon at a manly store like Home Depot.

If you think I'm wrong hand your man a coupon and ask him to pick something up for you. Check the receipt when he gets home…I bet he never used the coupon.
