Author, speaker, great lady, Chellie Campbell just sent me this email:
Eek! I just received a scathingly bad review of my new book, Zero to Zillionaire, from a reader on amazon.com.
Has this ever happened to you? Perhaps someone has hated your work, criticized your looks, or ridiculed you in public. Does it make you feel bad, sad, or mad?
When you stand up to be counted, you can count on two things—you will be loved and you will be hated. Can you name one movie star, politician, or celebrity who has a fan base that has no detractors? No.
Chellie, thanks for sharing this upsetting news. Unfortunately some people just wake up on the wrong side of the bed and want to pee in someones cornflakes.
I know how you feel. Being the host of my own radio show…some people love me and others hate me.
I even went so far as putting up a big sign in the studio saying….
“Even Seinfeld couldn’t impress everyone!â€
I think Seinfeld is the funniest show ever created…so it kept everything in perspective!
Another scathing letter I received at the radio station, I read on the air. I never heard from him again…actually, come to think of it, I haven’t received any bad letters since then! Haha…my greatest victory!
Chin up Chellie, only 97% of the planet loves you…that’s still awesome!
