Fear is a horrible thing. But it is real and can stop you in your tracks.
Too many people don't try getting on the radio because they think they"ll flop.
But, how do you know you'll flop unless you try?
Maybe you will and maybe they won't. But you can't sit back avoiding it.
On March 27th 1995 David Letterman hosted the Oscars. His performance
was heavily criticized — and he’s made many jokes admitting he was a flop.
Think about that for just one second. David Letterman flopped.
BUT I never felt like he flopped…I'm a huge fan of Dave's and I "got" his humor.
For the longest time in my radio studio I had a big sign that said, "Even Seinfeld couldn't impress everyone!" This was hanging in the studio to save me when I'd get a grumpy person calling in the morning to complain about a song or something I was talking about.
I just want to encourage you…go for it….slip and fall flat on your face…but jump back to your feet, and move on to your next interview…your next interview will be amazing!!!
