This has got to be the best story I've seen this week. I can only imagine how difficult dealing with the public would be…
A JetBlue flight attendant was arrested and is facing charges after he lost his cool following his plane's landing at Kennedy Airport in New York City yesterday (August 9th) around noon, cursing on the intercom, activating the emergency slide, and then grabbing a couple of beers and jumping down the slide and off the plane. Steven Slater apparently blew his top after a passenger on the flight from Pittsburgh hit Slater in the head with a bag, refused to apologize, and used a profanity. Slater got on the intercom system and ranted, "To the f*****g a**hole who told me to f**k off, it's been a good 28 years. I've had it. That's it," then he activated the slide and went down with the beer and his bags. He got on the AirTrain and went home to his Queens apartment, where police found him. The New York Daily News said the 38-year-old Slater was smiling as police took him away in handcuffs. He faces charges of reckless endangerment and criminal mischief.
Watch for him because he's already a super hero to most people who have to deal with the public…he'll be everywhere! Larry King, The View, and every news channel on the planet!
