Radio can still make and break bands! This time it is a great story of how a radio interview finished off a band opening for Willie Nelson. This story all begins last week on the CBC with an actor named Billy Bob Thornton. Long story short…he was a dick.
He made negative comments about Canadian audiences being Mashed potatoes without the Gravy…the next night in Toronto, his band was boo’d …when opening for Willie Nelson…
The next day Willie announced that the band was leaving the rest of the Canadian tour. On the bright side Jion's numbers will be way up…so he's found a bigger following, especially with 1.6 million YouTube views…and this all started from a radio show.
